What is spiropente?
Spiropent contains the active ingredient Clenbuterol, a beta-2-sympathomimetic that is taken as a tablet or juice. It is used in respiratory diseases with bronchospasm if inhalative therapy is not possible or insufficient.
Clenbuterol has a long duration of 12 hours and is taken 2x daily. It is mainly used in patients who have difficulties with inhalers, for example in infants or older patients.
Spiropent is available as tablets and as juice.

Clenbuterol acts as a selective beta-2-agonist:

Who is it suitable for?
Spiropent is suitable for:
- Patients who cannot use inhalers
- Toddlers (as juice)
- Older patients with coordination problems
- Bronchospastic respiratory diseases
Restrictions:
- Inhalative therapy is generally preferable
- More systemic side effects than inhalers
- No replacement for inhalative corticoids
Not suitable:
- As sole asthma therapy
- In patients who can inhale
Available Dosages
Spiropent tablets:
- 20 μg of Clenbuterol per tablet
- Adults: 1 tablet 2x daily (morning and evening)
- If necessary: up to 2 tablets 2x daily
Spiropent juice:
- 5 μg/5 ml
- Children: Dosage by body weight
** Aim for the lowest possible effective dose.
How to Take
Tablets:
- Take some water
- 2x daily, morning and evening
- Independent meals
Sat (children):
- Dose with the enclosed measuring cup
- Dosage according to doctor's instructions (body weight-related)
Important notes:

Contraindications
Do not apply at:
- hypersensitivity to Clenbuterol
- Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy
- Tachyarrhythmias
- Heavy thyrotoxicosis
Preview at:
- cardiovascular diseases
- thyroid hyperfunction
- Diabetes mellitus
- phenochromocytoma
pregnant: Strict indication position. Clenbuterol inhibits labor.
Style time: Go to breast milk. Not recommended.

Occasionally:
- Sleep disorders
- Muscle cramps

- Sweating
Selten:
- Heart rhythm disorders
- Hypokaliemia
- Blood pressure changes
** Systemic side effects are more common in oral administration than inhalation.
Interactions
Reactions:
- Betablockers – lift Clenbuterol action
- MAO inhibitors – enhanced heart action
- Tricyclic antidepressants – enhanced heart effects
- Diuretics – Hypokaliemia risk
- Other sympathomimetics – additive effects
