Do I have to wash Fortacin®?

It is recommended to wipe the acorn with a damp cloth or to use a condom after the 5-minute exposure time. Otherwise, the active substance can be transferred to the partner and reduce its sensation.

Can I use Fortacin® together with Dapoxetin (Priligy®)?

A combination is possible in principle, but do not hesitate to contact your doctor. Many patients only achieve good results with one of the two approaches. A combination can increase the effectiveness, but also increase the risk of erectile dysfunction.

How does Fortacin® differ from Emla®?

Fortacin® is specially approved for premature sperm casting and offers precise spray metering with shorter time (5 minutes vs. 15–20 minutes at Emla®). The active compound combination is identical, the concentrations are optimized.

Does Fortacin® work at once?

Yes, Fortacin® works for every application. No intake cycle is required. The action takes place after 5 minutes. It is recommended to first test the first application alone to assess the individual reaction.

What is Fortacin?

Fortacin® is the only topical spray specially approved for the treatment of premature sperm (Ejaculatio praecox). It contains a combination of lidocaine (150 mg/ml) and prilocaine (50 mg/ml) and is sprayed onto the acorn 5 minutes before intercourse.

Unlike the off-label application of Emla® Creme, Fortacin® offers a precise and reproducible dosage by the spray mechanism. Each spray jet emits a defined amount of active substance, which makes the application easier and safer.

Active Ingredients & Mechanism of Action

Active ingredient: Lidocain 150 mg/ml + Prilocain 50 mg/ml

Available Dosages

Dosing:

3 spray taps on the acorn, 5 minutes before intercourse
1 spray shock = 7.5 mg of lidocaine + 2.5 mg of prilocaine
3 spray strokes = 22.5 mg of lidocaine + 7.5 mg of prilocaine

Maximum balances:

Not more than 3 spray taps per application
Maximum 3 applications within 24 hours (at least 4 hours distance)

How to Take

Important notes:

Just spray on the acorn, not on the penis shank
Remove cream from vaginal contact or use condom (partner anaesthesia!)
Can damage latex condoms → latex-free condoms recommended
Testing first application without intercourse
In case of excessive anaesthesia: reduce dose to 2 spray strokes

Contraindications

Allergy to Lidocain, Prilocain or other local anaesthetics of amide type
On damaged or inflamed skin

Preview at:

Congenital methaemoglobinemia
G6PD deficiency
Simultaneous use of methammoglobin-inducing drugs
Partner with known sensitivity to local anaesthetics

Possible Side Effects

Family (1–10 %):

Erectile dysfunction (transversely, with too much active ingredient)
Burning, numbness at the job site
Reduction of vaginal sensitivity in partner (if not wiped)
